What is Vanguard Kids Academy?
Vanguard Kids Academy is an online education platform offering live, interactive classes in 65+ subjects for kids and teens ages 5-17. Our classes are taught by vetted experts in small groups of 3-8 students.
How do I sign up for a class?
Browse our class categories, select a class that interests your child, choose a schedule that works, and complete enrollment. You will receive a confirmation email with all the details.
What ages are your classes designed for?
Our classes are designed for kids and teens ages 5-17, divided into four age groups: Ages 5-7 (Early Learners), Ages 8-10 (Skill Builders), Ages 11-13 (Intermediate Creators), and Ages 14-17 (Advanced & Career Prep).
Do you offer a free trial?
Many instructors offer a first-class trial at a reduced rate. Check individual class listings for trial availability. We also offer a satisfaction guarantee — if your child does not enjoy their first class, we will help find a better fit.
What subjects do you offer?

Classes & Scheduling
How long are the classes?
Class length varies by age group: 25-40 minutes for ages 5-7, 40-55 minutes for ages 8-10, 50-60 minutes for ages 11-13, and 55-75 minutes for ages 14-17.
How many students are in each class?
Our classes have 3-8 students maximum. Small groups ensure every child gets personal attention, can ask questions, and actively participates.
What happens if my child misses a class?
Most classes offer session recordings for enrolled students. You can also reschedule to another session of the same class, or contact us for flexible options.
Can I change my child's schedule after enrolling?
Yes, schedule changes are usually possible. Contact us at least 24 hours before the class, and we will help you switch to another available time slot.
What platform do you use for classes?
We use Zoom for all live classes. Students receive a unique meeting link before each session. No Zoom account is required — just click the link to join.
Pricing & Payments
How much do classes cost?
Prices start at $10 per class and vary by subject, instructor, and class format. Most classes range from $10-$50 per session. Multi-class packages often come with discounts.
Do you offer discounts for multiple classes?
Yes, many instructors offer package pricing for multi-week enrollments. Sibling discounts and seasonal promotions are also available. Check individual listings for details.
What is your refund policy?
If your child does not enjoy their first class, we will help you find a better fit or provide a full refund. For ongoing enrollments, cancellations made 24+ hours before a session are eligible for credit.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. The price you see on the class listing is the price you pay. There are no registration fees, platform fees, or hidden charges.
Safety & Privacy
How do you vet your instructors?
All instructors undergo a multi-step vetting process including identity verification, background check, credential verification, and a live teaching demo. We only accept instructors who meet our quality and safety standards.
Can parents sit in on classes?
Yes, parents are always welcome to observe classes, especially for younger children. We encourage parents to be nearby during sessions for kids ages 5-7.
How do you protect my child's privacy?
We follow strict data privacy practices. Student information is never shared with third parties. Classes are conducted on secure, password-protected Zoom sessions. We comply with COPPA guidelines.
What if there is a problem during class?
Our support team monitors classes and is available to help. If any issue arises, parents can contact us immediately. All instructors are trained in online safety best practices.

How do I apply to teach on the platform?

What are the requirements to become an instructor?
We look for subject matter expertise, experience working with kids or teens, a reliable tech setup, and a genuine passion for teaching. All instructors must pass a background check.
How do instructors get paid?
Instructors set their own class prices and receive payment on a regular schedule. We handle all billing and payment processing so you can focus on teaching.
